Sock Hop 4-27-19

Havin’ A Sock Hop

“Relive your memories of the 50’s or create new ones.”  Join the Stardusters big band as they “jive” and play music from that new 50’s phenomenon Rock ‘n Roll! It’s a real sock hop, where kids used to kick off their shoes to protect the gym floor.  Dance to tunes like Rock Around the Clock, At the Hop, Barbara Ann and Tequilla.  And no better place to do this than at the gym at Harmony School!

The Stardusters will be playing some big band swing favorites then transition to good old Rock ‘n Roll.   Remember the Buunny Hop, one of the early lines dances?  Or the Twist? Singing with the Stardusters Big Band will be Rachel Caswell one of Bloomington’s most versatile vocalists.

When:  Saturday, April 27, 2019; 7:00 PM till 10:00 PM

Where: Harmony School Gym, address 909 E. Second  (Free parking)

Cost: $10.00

All ages welcome! Refreshments will be available.

Wear socks or not!, but join us for this fun-filled evening of listening and dancing as we Rock Around the Clock!
