The Stardusters “little BIG Band” will be performing with the new and exciting vaudeville show.
The Stardusters will be at the Mitchell Opera House on April 15th! Jazz and swing are America’s music emerging from the stylings and sounds of the era of the Big Bands. Stardusters Music is dedicated to keeping the Big Band sounds alive and well! This is a powerful 10 piece dance and stage band featuring professional musicians and vocalist Janiece Jaffe.
The Stardusters “little BIG Band” will be swinging with the sounds of the great swing big bands for the Friday night Swing Dance At Fountain Square. Hear the music of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and the singing styles of Ella Fitzgerald, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee and more. Three hours of swing music, Can’t be beat.

Join the Stardusters 16 piece big band for our final appearance of 2016. We will be swinging with tunes of the big band swing era, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, Glenn Miller, and a special segment featuring Shawn Goodman on clarinet doing some of the original Benny Goodman arrangements. On vocals will be Kathleen McConahay and Robert Stright.
Come dance to this wonderful music or just kick back and listen. This performance will be at Players Pub the most unique venue in Bloomington. Featuring eclectric live music 7 nights a week. Also enjoy the vast selection from the menue. This is an all ages venue with good food and drink and great live music.
We returned to Mitchell to perform our “let Heaven and Nature Swing Show” and swing it did, with Janiece Jaffe and the Starlighters.
A super night playing for about 300 guests at the Builtrite Event Center in Indianapolis. the band was cookin’ and Kathleen was spot on. Fantastic performance by all.
Stardusters “little BIG Band” will be swinging at the Founain Square Swing Dance Oct. 28, 2016. Fountain Square offers a large dance floor to all ages. The Stardusters have been playing their special style of swing music from the Big Band Swing Era of the 40’s. A time when swing music was originated. If you are a little rusty or just need to brush up lessons start at 7:30. The band starts at 8:30 and play until 11:30. Three full hours of swing.
The Stardusters “little BIG Band” will be bringing back the Sounds of the Big bands. The Music of the big band era and the American Song Book. This 9 piece ensemble has been keeping America’s Music alive. This performance will be at Players Pub beginning at 6:00 PM. The “Pub” is an all age venue presenting live music 7 nights a week and presenting wonderful food and drink. Featuring the vocal stylings of Janiece Jaffe, Bob Stright and featured guest Helen Arffa.
The Stardusters return to the Indiana Roof Ballroom dance series. This is the band that will play all the latin, swing, waltz, and more styles at the right tempo. Playing the ballroom dance styles for the past 23 years the Stardusters have the most extensive library to bring to you.
For the serious dancer, for the fun dancer this is the band you will want to dance to.
Stardusters Music presents the Blues Revue Band – A Tribute to the Blues Brothers at the Tivoli Theatre, Spencer Indiana. This show will feature some of the top tunes from the sound tracks of the two movies, The Blues Brothers and the Blues Brothers 2000. These two films have reached cult status and the music from them is widely performed today.
The show will feature Robert Stright, Curtise Cantwell Jackson, Janiece Jaffee and Lauren Robert singing the songs from the movie. The originals were sung by John Balushi, Dan Akryod, Aretha Franklin, Cab Callaway and Ray charles.
