Many popular bands during the Big Band era included prominent vocalists, and Stardusters Music is fortunate to have two talented artists that perform in many of our shows: Janiece Jaffe and Joe Girard. Janiece has recorded four CD's, collaborated on ten others, and has two additional works in production. She is featured on four songs on the Stardusters 8-piece Swing Band Sampler. Joe performs nationwide in thrilling tributes to such popular singers as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Vic Damone and Barbara Streisand. Joe signed with the Gold Label in 2005 and released two new CDs in 2006: From the Heart and Let's Swing. The Stardusters Jazz Orchestra and the Arthur Murray Dancers recreate that golden Big Band era in exhilarating live shows featuring comedic dance and vocal numbers inspired by Broadway musicals, Hollywood movies, television and music clubs. Our wide-ranging musical selections encompass popular dance styles spanning swing, jive, mambo, salsa, waltzes, sambas and tangos. So what are you waiting for kids - let's cut a rug!
